  • Engineer with minimum of 3 to 4 years designing the various aspects of an electrical control system.
  • Strong background in electric drives a must (preferably Rockwell Automations PowerFlex drives).
  • Good understanding of the UL508A standard and the NFPA 79 standard (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, a subset of the National Electrical Code-NEC), sensors, valves, starters and various PLC platforms, particularly Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix platform.
  • A background utilizing SolidWorks Electrical a plus.
  • Must be able to take a Scope of Work and generate sketches or CAD drawings of the electrical panel physical layout and wiring, electrical schematics, field wiring/cable drawings and Bills of Material.
  • Needs to be able to work as part of a design team with good communication skills.

Mechanical Designer/Engineer:

  • Designer/Engineer with minimum of 4 to 5 years of machine design experience.
  • Must have a strong background with SolidWorks 2-D and 3-D, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Will be called upon to support the sales group by generating System Layout (Proposal) drawings to scale.
  • Must work well with others as part of a design team and possess a willingness to help train less experienced mechanical designers, engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Needs to be able to generate machinery sketches or drawings for fabrication, assembly and installation, as well as Bills of Materials, pneumatic schematics, and to lesser degree, hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience with End of Arm Tooling design for robotics a plus.
  • Will be called upon to shop test equipment once assembled.

CAD Technician (Mechanical and Electrical):

Mechanical:

  • Utilize SolidWorks (2-D and 3-D) to layout material handling systems in support of the sales team, machinery and parts to generate Proposal and Systems drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly and installation drawings and Bills of Material.
  • May be called upon to utilize AutoCAD from time to time as well.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new software design tools such as Roboguide (Fanuc Robotics) and Octopuz (3rd party robotics software).
  • Must be able to communicate well with others as part of a design team.

Electrical:

  • Utilize SolidWorks Electrical, and sketches from the design engineer, to generate electrical schematics, electrical panel layout and wiring drawings, Bills of Material and field wiring/cable drawings.
  • Need to be familiar with sensors, valves, PLC’s and associated hardware, the symbology of various I/O and the NFPA 79 standard (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery).
  • Must be able to communicate well with others as part of a design team.

Electrician for UL508A Electrical Shop:

  • Utilize tools of the trade to physically layout and assemble electrical components to electrical enclosures and sub panels using panel layout drawings generated from the engineering group.
  • Once assembled, follow engineering drawings (electrical schematics and panel wiring drawings) to properly wire and label all wires and components following the UL508A standard and the NFPA 79 standard (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery).
  • Assist the design engineer in testing the panel(s) once complete, documenting the results of the test and properly filing the documentation in the company’s documentation system.
  • Interface with the UL inspector for the quarterly inspections answering questions regarding past panel builds and documentation.
  • Once again, properly filing the documentation from the inspection in the company’s documentation system.
